I am a progressive calisthenics instructor, as well as an experienced strength and conditioning coach. I'm excited to help you learn what your body is capable of. Want to build strength and muscle using only your own bodyweight? Sign up for calisthenics classes! No equipment is required for most of the exercises. At your free consultation, I will be happy to discuss any questions you have as well your current fitness level and goals. This will help me design a training plan tailored to your specific needs.

Calisthenics Class Locations:
- ProMotion Rehab, located at Sauls St, Lake City SC
- Your home or a local park (travel fees will apply to locations outside of Lake City SC)

Online calisthenics coaching
I can also train you over video calls. E-mail support is provided as a free bonus, but it will be necessarily limited by my schedule. Contact me to negotiate.

Before beginning calisthenics classes
I recommend checking with your doctor before starting an exercise program. Visit the page below to find out when you should ask your doctor.
Exercise: When to check with your doctor first

"What else do you offer?" 1.) If you run a gym, wellness center, or studio, and want to add calisthenics classes, please get in touch! 2.) I can help set up free or low cost exercise classes at your church. 3.) I can offer additional calisthenics progressions and exercises to your existing strength and conditioning program. 4.) I can help you train for a calisthenics instructor certification workshop. 5.) Last, but not least, I can help you meet many different fitness goals.

"What are some of the goals you can help me train for?" I can help you lose weight, build muscle, or physically prepare for a competition. I can also help you reach specific strength goals, such as performing one arm pushups. If you are coming back from an injury, and are cleared by your physician to start an exercise program, I can help you with general mobility and joint health. Lastly, I can help with stress relief through mindfulness and "moving meditation" in every exercise.

More about me: I have over 10 years of teaching experience, including martial arts instruction, strength coaching, and personal training. I have been teaching progressive calisthenics classes in South Carolina since July 2014. I have worked with many types of athletes, including professional boxers, amateur wrestlers, karate students, and gymnasts of varying levels of ability. "Why take calisthenics classes when I already have a gym membership / can go to the park on my own?"
Spotting, feedback, cues, expert knowledge, and experience are some of the invaluable things that a calisthenics instructor can provide.

More details about progressive calisthenics, also known as bodyweight training: Progressive calisthenics is a strength oriented approach to bodyweight training. It also focuses on minimalism – little to no equipment, but high rewards. Your body is its own very versatile form of training equipment! Balance, agility, and coordination also gain a lot of benefit. Popular examples of calisthenics exercises include pushups and pullups.

Before joining a gym or buying expensive exercise equipment, look at what you already have available to you in your neighborhood. With creativity, just your own bodyweight, and the right training progressions, you can get in a challenging workout any place. You can train in your own home, yard, or a local park.

Karate Training Programs PDF Book

Karate Training Guide PDF Book - Workout Programs Included by cyriades on Scribd

Karate Training Programs PDF Book

You are encouraged to share the book, print it out, and upload it to other sites. Short link to my PDF book folder (free downloads) – http://tiny.cc/pdfbooks

About the book

This book contains workout programs for karate practitioners and those interested in karate style training. There are a number of progressive bodyweight movements taught in Okinawan karate, including knuckle push-ups, fingertip push-ups and ultimately, wrist push-up variations. The exercises have very direct benefits for “bunkai” or application of kata. Of course, these exercises shouldn’t replace previous progressions, but supplement them. Also, don’t overdo it with directly training the joints. Be sure to allow plenty of time for your connective tissues to adapt.
